Samantha Mejias Zigmant (Sam) is of Puerto Rican and Polish descent, born in Countryside, Illinois.
She recently graduated from Monmouth College in December of 2024, where she obtained her B.A. in Theatre, English, and Educational Studies.
You can find her in Houston, Texas this upcoming summer as part of the Rudd Internship program with the A.D. Players at the George Theater, for their Summer Theatre Camp!
In the Fall of 2025, Samantha will begin pursuing her Master’s in Theater Design and Technology, focusing on Sound, at the University of Memphis.
She has a strong passion for Acting, Sound Design, Stage Management, and Musical Theater.

Awards and Recognition
In her last semester of Junior College, Samantha was awarded the Student Leader of the Year award for her outstanding work in the JJC Players theatre club, and leadership in starting an Active Minds Mental Health Chapter at JJC.
Samantha was also awarded the Theatre Titan of the year Award at the end of her community college career, and was awarded a scholarship to continue studying theatre at a 4-year college!
In 2024, Samantha competed again at the KCACTF festival and was a Semi-Finalist for the Musical Theatre Intensive (MTI). She also worked with Choreographers Correy West and Kaitlyn Smith.
In the Spring of 2023, Samantha was awarded the Dean St. Ledger Award for outstanding work in Technical Theatre at Monmouth College
She was previously President and a part of Delta Psi Omega at JJC. She finished the 2024 academic year as Vice President and is a part of Alpha Psi Omega at Monmouth; both Theatre Honor Societies.
In the Spring of 2024, Samantha was awarded the Linda James Award for outstanding work in the theatre program at Monmouth College.
