At the beginning of 2025, Samantha pursued her Substitute Teaching License and began subbing in local Elementary and Middle schools. In March, she accepted a long-term maternity leave position at Plainfield South High School, where she currently teaches English II Honors for sophomores and English III for juniors. She will finish the academic year with them before moving to Houston to start her internship.

With a passion for education and a commitment to student growth, I bring a strong foundation of teaching experience to the classroom. Over the years, I have worked with diverse learners across various grade levels and subject areas to fulfill practicum classes, and I always strive to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. My approach centers on fostering curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students reach their full potential. My goal is always to inspire confidence, spark creativity, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning in every student I teach. Teaching will always be a part of me and I hope to someday end up back in the classroom. -Samantha
